IBM memory
The number of available IBM memory slots in your motherboard should be checked first before buying an additional chip to upgrade the RAM in your PC. The standard memory modules slots is usually 4 that can fit in to support the computer. if your computer has 4 slots and you originally have 2-250 MB RAM, you can only fit in 2 more and that would make One Gig of RAM which is good enough to run video and graphical interfaced programs in your PC. Usually, as the size of the RAM increases, the size of the physical memory chip also increases.
